The way you describe your life becomes the way you experience it. So weβll start by discussing the language you use β and how the way you think and speak shapes your perception of reality.
Then weβll explore how writing can be used more intentionally, not just to process, but to direct attention and create shifts.
Weβll look at a variety of hypnotic writing tools based on the works by Milton Erickson of Ericksonian Hypnosis, and what that can do with/for our minds β this will be demonstrated through a couple of guided meditation journeys, created using the tools and techniques shared.
From there, youβll move through a series of guided writing exercises, followed by reflection.

Most people write to document whatβs already happening. But writing can also change how you see things β and what you do next.
ββββββββββ
If you journal, want to journal, or are curious about how writing or words/language affects your mindset and direction β this is for you.
If you also would like to write your own guided meditation scripts, enhance your creative and copywriting skills, these techniques can help with that too.
No experience needed.

Learn how to play with your sense of time β past, present, and future β how it shapes the way you think, feel, and make decisions.
This is an introductory, free online salon to invite you to working with βtimeβ
ββββββββββ
Weβll start with a conversation around time β not just as something that moves forward, but as something youβre constantly referencing.
Weβll look at how your past experiences, future expectations, and current perception interact.
Then weβll move into a simple timeline-based exercise, followed by reflection.
ββββββββββ
Youβre not just living in the present.
Youβre reacting to the past, anticipating the future, and making decisions based on both β often without realising.
Understanding that changes how you move.
ββββββββββ
If youβve ever felt stuck in the past, anxious about the future, or unsure about your next move β this is for you.
No experience needed.
ββββββββββ
If youβd like to explore timeline work more deeply, head to the upcoming salon on working with your timeline through letter writing β Letters Across Time β a salon on timeline work.

Limited to 6 people
$30
Snacks & tea provided
All letter writing materials provided
ββββββββββ
Through a series of guided meditations, timeline exercises, and reflective writing prompts, youβll write three letters across time:
a letter from your envisioned future self to your present self
a letter from your present self to your past self
and finally, a note from your present self to yourself, here and now
Weβll begin by exploring how memory, emotion, imagination, and identity shape the way we move through time psychologically and emotionally.
From there, each writing section will be guided by a meditation or visualisation designed to help you access different emotional and mental states before writing.
Youβll be provided with paper, envelopes, and materials to keep, seal, or revisit your letters however feels meaningful to you.
Thereβll be space for reflection, optional sharing, and quiet processing throughout.
ββββββββββ
Weβre constantly in conversation with our past and future β whether consciously or not.
Writing across time can help us reconnect with ourselves more honestly, notice emotional patterns, process unfinished feelings, and imagine forward with greater clarity.
Sometimes things shift simply because they were finally expressed.
ββββββββββ
If youβve been reflecting on who you were, who youβre becoming, or what youβve been carrying β this is for you.
No writing experience needed.

A quiet midweek pauseβ¦ we wonβt be talking much for this one.
Weβll meet at the Art Gallery of New South Walesβ to firstly take a silent, observing walk though the gallery. Spend time moving through the space together but silently β observing, feeling, noticing what lands.
Weβll then meet outside of the βSpirit House exhibition where we will take 30 minutes to sit in stillness, reflection, meditationβ¦ contemplation.
You will have an option to listen to a guided meditation created for this exact environment β working with space, symbolism, and your inner world.
This is less about βunderstanding artβ and more about letting it work on you.
A soft reset.
A moment to return to your body.
A chance to practice awareness in a different environment.
What to expect:
Gentle group wander through the gallery and Spirit House exhibit
Optional guided meditation (created by Ayla)
Space to reflect, sit, and be with yourself out in the world
Optional quiet conversation afterwards
What to bring:
Headphones (optional, if you prefer a more immersive experience)
This is a simple practice in presence β the kind explored throughout the Mind Magic Manual β where awareness becomes the ritual itself
This gathering was brought to you by the City Witch Club β an ongoing experiment in community, creativity, and practical magic. You can visit the club hub for more info here.
